RELAYBRIDGE
Ethernet relays and contact inputs, wired straight into Q-SYS.
Drive Waveshare Modbus POE ETH relay boards (8, 16 or 30 relays, or 8 relays + 8 digital inputs) natively from Q-SYS: switch, pulse, sequence and read every relay back, and use the contact inputs like GPIO. One license per Core, unlimited instances.
Nécessite Q-SYS Designer 9.0+ · Any Q-SYS Core
Présentation
RelayBridge turns an affordable Waveshare Modbus POE ETH relay board into a native Q-SYS device. Pick the model in Properties, enter the board's IP address, and every relay becomes a control and a pin: switch it, pulse it, sequence it, and see its real state. Feedback is two-way. After every command the plugin reads the board back, so a relay that failed to switch shows as such within a fraction of a second, and a keep-alive poll keeps the state true over time. Pulses are timed by the board itself, so a pulse finishes cleanly even if the Core reboots in the middle of it. The 8 relays + 8 inputs model adds eight dry-contact inputs, exposed exactly like Q-SYS GPIO: a push button, a door contact or a motion sensor lands in your design as a boolean, refreshed about every 100 ms, with relay commands always served first. A built-in sequencer runs chases across a range of relays (forward, reverse, ping-pong, random, all flash) at the speed you set, for signage, effects or test routines, with no scripting. It is built to stay up unattended: a single-transaction Modbus queue, timeouts and automatic reconnection with backoff, Modbus errors reported in plain text, and the IP address and port editable live from the panel or a pin. Every control is a pin, with script-friendly names, for UCIs, Lua scripts, Show Controller and ShowMind.
Fonctionnalités
- Waveshare Relay Boards — Modbus POE ETH Relay 8, 16 and 30 channels, and the (B) / (C) 8 relays + 8 digital inputs. Pick the model in Properties; one instance per board.
- Switch & Pulse — On / off per relay, all on, all off, toggle all, and timed pulses (100 ms to 10 s, per relay) run by the board's own timer.
- Two-Way Feedback — Every command is read back from the board about 200 ms later, and a keep-alive poll (1–300 s) keeps the displayed state true.
- Digital Inputs — On the 8 + 8 model, eight dry-contact inputs exposed like Q-SYS GPIO, refreshed about every 100 ms. Inputs read open when the link is lost, never a stale closed.
- Sequencer — Forward, reverse, ping-pong, random or all-flash chases across a start–finish range of relays, at an adjustable speed, with a live position output.
- Custom Labels — Number the relays or give each one its own name from a single comma-separated list.
- Built for 24/7 — Serialised Modbus queue, timeouts, automatic reconnection with backoff, Modbus exceptions reported in Status, firmware and error counters, optional RAW TX/RX log.
- Full Pin Integration — Every control is a pin, with script-friendly names (RelayToggle1, InputState1…), for UCI, Lua scripts, Show Controller and ShowMind. IP address and port can be changed live.
