SPLFORGE
Measure, log and regulate sound levels inside your Q-SYS Core.
Turn a measurement microphone into a professional sound level meter inside Q-SYS: live dB(A) and dB(C), Leq, peaks and statistics, threshold events that drive your design, tamper-evident logs, 11 national regulation presets and an optional limiter that holds the PA at the limit.

Overview
SPLForge listens to one measurement microphone and shows what a professional sound level meter shows: the live level in dB(A), dB(C) or Z, Leq over two sliding windows, LAeq since reset, LCpeak, Lmax and Lmin, L10 to L99 statistics with a histogram, and the noise exposure of the crew (OSHA / NIOSH). The measurement path is never processed: SPLForge only listens to the mic. Everything is recorded in CSV files that anyone can open but nobody can quietly edit: each line carries a fingerprint chained to the previous one, an audit log records every change of threshold, calibration or schedule, and a PIN-protected sealed mode undoes and reports any attempt to change the settings. Add event markers from a button or a pin, and keep the files on the Core for the authorities. Pick your country's rule in Compliance Mode and SPLForge applies it by itself: France (Décret 2017 and young audiences), Belgium-Flanders (VLAREM), Switzerland (O-LRNIS), Germany (DIN 15905-5), the Netherlands, the United Kingdom (Purple Guide) and the WHO safe-listening recommendation. Legal limits, the 15 / 30 / 60-minute window, the quarter-hour report, a monthly minute-by-minute archive and the legal retention are set automatically. The design can react: output pins switch when a threshold is crossed, to mute a zone, recall a quieter snapshot or light a warning, with hold time and latch. A schedule lowers the limit at night. In Brickwall Limiter mode, SPLForge sits on up to 64 channels going to the PA and turns them down smoothly to hold the limit, like a hand on the master fader rather than a compressor. A ready-made public display (big digits and a traffic light) drops into your UCI for the DJ, the FOH desk or the bar. Calibration takes one minute with a 94 dB calibrator.
Core features
- Sound Level Meter — Live level in dB(A), dB(C) or Z, Slow or Fast. Two sliding Leq windows, LAeq since reset, LCpeak, Lmax, Lmin, overload detection.
- Statistics & Graph — L10, L50, L90, L95, L99 with a level histogram, and a graph of SPL, Leq and peaks from 1 minute to 24 hours.
- 11 Regulation Presets — France (Décret 2017, young audiences), Belgium-Flanders VLAREM, Switzerland O-LRNIS, Germany DIN 15905-5, the Netherlands, UK Purple Guide, WHO. Limits, legal window, reports, archive and retention set for you.
- Tamper-Evident Records — Daily CSV logs with chained hashes, an audit log of every change, quarter-hour compliance reports, event markers, and a PIN-locked sealed mode.
- Threshold Events — Output pins (Over Limit, Gate, Gate Inv, Latched, Pulse) switch on SPL, Leq or exposure to mute a zone, recall a snapshot or alert the engineer. Fail-safe without a license.
- Brickwall Limiter — Optional mode on 1 to 64 channels: holds the PA at the limit with smooth rise and release times, a green / amber / red zone and a 20 dB maximum cut.
- Schedule & Exposure — Four time profiles change the limit by time of day and day of week. Crew noise dose and TWA according to OSHA or NIOSH.
- Public Display & Pins — A ready-made UCI display with digits and traffic light, and every control available as a pin for UCIs, scripts, Show Controller and ShowMind.
